But that is not enough for us! To protect our climate, we need to reduce carbon emissions. And if emitting CO2 cannot be avoided in certain situations, there is always the option of compensating for them. ANNAMARIAANGELIKA made a conscious decision to make up for the damage caused by shipping our pieces, and so we support the Peruvian conservation organisation GaiAma that was established to help protect the rain forest. We are thrilled by the concept of a symbiotic relationship between people and the forest, where permaculture gardening has a pivotal role, the forest is protected from poachers and illegal logging by bases within the forest and where it goes without saying that one uses the resources that nature bestows. Any donations that this project receives is invested into buying endangered tracts of rain forest and into the effort of protecting it. For every piece we sell, ANNAMARIAANGLIKA supports GaiAma with a donation of at least one per cent of the the price.
